ao4w95nui[a0 qbtmhyaw'3vgjl! DDDDDDDD:
My external pocket drive which I use for all my design work is malfunctioning for some reason. ;A; I have no idea what's wrong with it, but it's not booting properly, and my laptop wants to format it.
I need this drive guys. It has all of my stock, brushes, textures, fonts, actions, SAI work, and every picture I have ever taken stored on it. I cannot afford to lose this drive.
It runs on a USB 2.0 cable, and when I plug it in to start it, the drive spins then starts this stuttered clicking noise, and I get a notification that the USB device is malfunctioning.
Anyone have any hints/clues/tips for me? ;n;
edit: Just plugged it into the desktop machine, and it ran fine. It's my USB drives on my laptop. Drives as in plural. All of them are having issues.
Why is this such a big deal? I run four on a regular basis (school, design, writing, back-up). As I have said, all of my design stuff lives on my pocket drive. In addition, all of my writing stuff lives on an external flashdrive I take with me literally everywhere. It has everything I've written, my snippets and ramblings, all my plots and research material. And all my RP stuff from a variety of sites lives on there for on-the-go-rp. Then I have my school drive with all my classwork, etc.
Without my drives, I can't move my latest camera images off, or work on an intensive design commission, or even log any of my writing properly.
I-I can't do what I do without my drives... Now I need to know what I need to do about this. Dammit.
